Fun Facts about Orca

On Thursday, our class learned to draw Orcas aka Killer Whale. We draw our Orcas following a video made by Anton the Whale man, the video was Learn to Draw-Orca. When we watched the video we also learnt some very interesting facts. I have collected a total of 21 facts.
 Here are the facts I have created:
  1. Orca is the largest member of the dolphin family.
  2. It is also called a Killer Whale.
  3. They can be seen easily because of their black and white color.
  4. The male has a really big dorsal fin.
  5. They have a bulbous head.
  6. They have a rostrum (it's like a nose).
  7. They have big sharp teeth.
  8. They like eating stingrays.
  9. They have a really distinctive flipper. It is a big paddle.
  10. The dot beside the eye is the ear.
  11. The shape of its pupil is a 'c'.
  12. The blow hole is the nostril.
  13. The tail is called a fluke.
  14. They're black on top and white on the bottom.
  15. White below the line of the mouth.
  16. Their tummy is a pattern of a wave.
  17. They have a saddle it is grey. It is like a fingerprint because it is unique to the Orca.
  18. People the Orca by its saddle.
  19. They have a white eye patch.
  20. They are really fast.
  21. The scientific name is the Orcinus Orca.

William Stedman

 For reading we made a visual about Paralympians. We chose athletes who competed in the Paralympics and did a few researches about them. I used google draw to create a visual about William Stedman. William Stedman was 16 years old when he competed in the RIO 2016 Paralympics . Enjoy.

What I have been doing during lockdown

 During lockdown the house is very boring. So I like to keep myself fit and entertained by exercising and doing a lot of fun things, which you will read in this slide show. Enjoy.

During lockdown complete fun tasks on our devices. One of the task was to use the letters from the word "Paralympian" to make as many words as you can. 2 to 3 letter words are worth one point, 4 letter words are worth 2 points and words with 5 letters and more are worth 5 points.

Room 21 Class Cooking

For our first Term 3 class cooking we made Weetbix slices. We split into groups, each person in the groups had a turn taking the ingredients and mixing the ingredients. When we made it we doubled the recipe, here is the amount of ingredients we used.

The ingredients we used is: 

300g Butter, melted 
8 Weetbix (crushed)
1 cup White Sugar
2 cup Standard Grade Flour
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp Baking Powder
2 drop vanilla essence

Olympic DLO slide

For writing we made DLO slides about the Olympic games. We chose different topics to do about the Olympics. I chose the history of the Olympic games and the evolution of how it turned into the modern Olympic games rather than a pagan festival.
